Before New Years Eve rolls around, clothing shops are adorned with sparkles, sequins and glitter. We say: “break the rules and stand out from the crowd.”
Whether you’re dancing the night away in a club or having a more casual night with friends, we have the hottest fashion tips that can have you stand out in your crowd this News Year’s Eve.
Be bold with colour
Too often, we’re told not to mix and match certain colours or if we’re wearing a bold coloured outfit that it needs to be toned down with neutral accessories.
Wear comfortable shoes
Some women are most comfortable in sky high stilettos, others prefer a sneaker or flatform (technical term for a platform heel).
Whatever you choose, make sure it’s something you can dance the night away to so you’re not watching everyone else from the sidelines!
Don’t spend a packet
There’s only one hangover we choose to ring in the new year with, and it’s not a financial hangover. Don’t go crazy on spending an outfit that you realistically may only wear once!
Designer rental companies like Glam Corner and One Night Stand Boutique (found at www.glamcorner.com.au and www.onsboutique.com.au) are the only way we’d be able to afford this gorgeous Zimmermann frock or the Gucci fanny pack (pictured at left).
Experiment to be different
Try to incorporate at least one element into your outfit that you’ve always wanted to try, but have been to afraid to do.
Whether it’s a bold red lip, a new haircut or a colour you wouldn’t normally dare to wear, New Years Eve is the perfect time to perform a fashion experiment. New year, new me, am I right?
