Calling future Super Models

At Riverlink, budding young models will have the opportunity to enter the Young Model Discovery!

This is a great opportunity for aspiring young models to experience what it takes to pursue a modelling career. With three age categories, both boys and girls are catered for. Juniors are for 5 to 11 year old’s, Intermediates are 12 to 14 and the Seniors category is for 15 to 19 year olds.

Again this year, the Tamblyn Young Model Discovery will be held in Ipswich at Riverlink in the East Mall.

Heat 1 is on Thursday, 21st September with registration from 5.30pm, while Heat 2 is on Saturday 23rd September, with registration from 10.30am and finally, the semi-final follows from 12 noon.

The Young Model Discovery is celebrating its 29th Birthday in 201. In that time the model search has become a fabulous icon, and it has propelled young hopeful models into become international models gracing the covers and runways of New York, Paris, London and Milan.

The Young Model Discovery is a charity event that has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for chosen charities.

In recent years the event has raised money for Childhood Cancer Support Inc.

Financial and emotional support, the provision of accommodation for country families and improvement of treatment facilities were the major aims of the initial group.

Added to these aims were further research and public education. As more children began to survive due to the continuing improvement in treatment techniques, questions about quality of life and future prospects for the children were recognised as increasingly important.

Their mission and ethos though have not changed – they are still families helping families – a charity with a heart and understanding, working to support others going through a very traumatic, life-threatening and life-changing time of their lives.

The Young Model Discovery is held in participating shopping centers throughout Queensland over a 5 month period open to age groups 5 – 19 years.

Head to Riverlink’s East Mall to register or pick up a form from the Centre Management Office.
