Choices Flooring by Mallets knows what it takes to be successful in the
flooring business. The Choices team have won the Highest Percentage Growth and Highest Dollar Growth award for the second year running in the Flooring Choices national award program.
The family run business has been operating in Ipswich for seventeen years and couldn’t be happier that their Ipswich business has outperformed one hundred and eighty Choice Flooring outlets throughout South East Queensland. It’s not the first and it certainly won’t be the last. The award will join the many others resting on the store shelf, indicating the high quality of service customers have come to expect from Ipswich
Choices. Owner Steve Mallet says the award is a great win for the Ipswich community in general, and signals a confidence in a locally owned
business. “For a small family business like ours that’s been able to grow, it’s been really positive and we want to encourage other businesses to do the same. By backing our community business is only going to get stronger.”
Steve puts the victory down to a great team of daughter Georgie Mallet, Peter Cutts and Connor Zana, and branching out beyond flooring into artistic and decorative products, completing the home make-over package.
They moved into the old Faulkner motors building four years ago and while being a flooring shop in a dining precinct is a little different, they made it work.
“Rather than going and leaving another hole in town we decided to make it a bit of a destination and through community marketing
and support it’s worked”.
Mallet is also confident that once the renovations on the Nicholas Street mall have been completed they will help to improve not just his, but all businesses in the Ipswich community. “The design is amazing and it’s the only design I’ve seen in over 20 years that will actually be completed.”
He says this is a positive sign that businesses need to jump on board with in order to continue to grow, the rest will take care of itself.
Choices Flooring by Mallet is open from Monday through to Saturday from eight o’clock.
