Here’s the latest celebrity gossip and entertainment news from the world of stage, screen and television.

We’re going Gaga for diamonds! After Lady Gaga confirmed her engagement to boyfriend Christian Carino, we look at the second most important thing (after their love, of course) – the ring!

The ring is a gorgeous round pink diamond surrounded by smaller jewels. According to President of WP Diamonds, Andrew Brown, the ring cost a hefty sum.

“Lady Gaga’s spectacular ring appears to be a 6-7 carat pink sapphire with a diamond halo totaling 3-4 carats. This is likely a high quality, no heat (treatment), pink sapphire,” Brown told E! News. “It looks like it may be a Padparadscha sapphire, in which case this ring would easily retail between $300,000 and $400,000.”

Gaga was formerly engaged to Chicago Fire star, Taylor Kinney and were together for five years.

Her ring from Kinney was vastly different to this one, which was a love-heart shaped diamond with T&S (S for her real name, Stefani) embedded in diamonds on the back of the band.

Gaga and Kinney split in July of 2016, with the popstar only returning the ring last February after falling for Carino.

Fashionista Nadia Bartel and Footballer Jimmy Bartel have welcomed their second baby boy into the world.

Henley Roy Bartel was born mid last month, weighing 3.98kg and resembling older brother Aston.

“Our hearts exploded when Henley Roy Bartel came into the world today,” Nadia wrote on her Instagram.

Whilst keeping up appearances at several events over the duration of her pregnancy, including the Brownlow Medal just three weeks before giving birth, Bartel shared with her followers that she had a difficult pregnancy.

“[I’m] pretty much house bound because every time I stand or take a step I have sharp nerve pain shooting up my front and back, my hips click when I take a step and feel wobbly and ache,” she said.

“This is all because of my pelvic girdle pain (also known as pubic symphysis issues PSD) I didn’t listen to my body this pregnancy and kept pushing through.”

We’re glad she’s out of pain and united with her new gorgeous bub!

Puppeteering legend Caroll Spinney has farewelled the likes of Elmo, Miss Piggy and Grover after retiring from Sesame Street. Mr. Spinney has played the characters of Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch since the show premiered in 1969.

In a statement, the 84 year old said Big Bird and Sesame Street helped him find his purpose.

“Big Bird brought me so many places, opened my mind and nurtured my soul,” the veteran puppeteer said.

“I plan to be an ambassador for Sesame Workshop for many years to come. After all, we’re a family!”

Kids – don’t panic! Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch will live on, with Matt Vogel taking over the role of Big Bird, who also plays Count von Count and Kermit the Frog, and Eric Jacobson playing Oscar the Grouch. Jacobson also performs Grover, Bert, Guy Smiley, Fozzie Bear and Miss Piggy. Spinney has worked alongside and mentored Vogel and Jacobson for more than 20 years.

“It’s time for two performers that I have worked with and respected – and actually hand-picked for the guardianship of Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch – to take my alter-egos into their hands and continue to give them life,” Mr. Spinney said.
