Whip out the sweat bands, strap on your joggers and participate in one of the most challenging, hilly courses in Queensland.
If the 10km Fun Run or Half Marathon is a little out of your league, there’s always the 700 metre Family Challenge, the 5km walk, 5km Fun Run, and even the 100 metre Mascot Marathon.
The Ipswich Park2Park, to be held on Bill Paterson Oval, Sunday, July 30 will attract international, national and local athletes; people wanting to conquer one of the most challenging courses in Queensland; and those just wanting to be a part of a fun event raising money for the Ipswich Hospital Foundation.
Participating in this event not only benefits you, but raises vital funds for the Ipswich Hospital Foundation. Clay Dawson, winner of the 2016 10km Park2Park run says those who feel intimidated or too unfit should just give it a go.
“The variety of people who run is endless,” Mr Dawson said. “People think, ‘oh, I’m not fast enough to run’ but really there’s a whole spectrum of runners and their abilities.”
Jump on to www.park2park.com.au to register in your desired event.
Early bird entries close Monday, 17th July at 5pm and all online entries close Saturday, 29th July at 3pm.
