You + A Mate Could See Quartet by Ipswich Little Theatre for free!

‘Quartet’ is a hilarious play directed by Ann Collyer and assisted by Desley Cronon and Rebecca Noble. The story line follows three old friends who were famous in the opera world in their day; residing in a retirement home for opera singers and musicians in Kent. They are looking forward to their annual concert to celebrate Verdi’s birthday and they have been asked to sing for the first time.

However, their peace is destroyed when a friend from their performing days arrives as a new resident. Old rivalries and secrets resurface. Their plans for the concert fall into disarray, but as always – the show must go on!

Public performance dates are March 2, 8, 9, 15 and 16 nightly at 8pm and Sunday matinees on March 3 and 10 at 2pm. All performances are at the Incinerator Theatre at Queens Park. Bookings can be made at or call 3281 0555.
